The Secretary and CEO of GSA, Dr Anil Pratap Singh, attended the 14th International AIDS Conference, 2002, held in Barcelona Spain, with the sponsorship of Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, US Consulate General. On the sidelines of the conference he discussed the problem of HIV/AIDS with India's then Union Health Minister, Mr Shatrughan Sinha. During the event, he also attended various skill building workshops.

Dr Singh was invited by UNAIDS to attend 7th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP) at Kobe, Japan. He attended the Congress as an official Indian delegation, led by the Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
